The principle of operation of a tube skylight
is very simple. Rays of sunlight approaching in different angles
are absorbed by a dome installed outside which directs them to
the skylight tube (made of top class reflexive materials of increased
reflection ratio not losing their characteristics with time).
Next, based on the principle of mirror reflection, the light is
led to a prism or mat type light diffuser. Unpolarised light penetrating
a room lights it uniformly without reflexes on smooth surfaces
(e.g. computer displays, screens).
Regardless of the atmospheric conditions outside,
light inside the room is characterised by much higher colour rendering
index (warm light) than any other artificial light source.
It is possible that the skylight be used also
in the evenings and at night due to installation of a light fitting
inside functioning as a lamp.
